Description
Sourcing Type: Outsourcing
This is an outsourcing project.
To apply,
place your bid below and we'll notify you if the employer
picks you
to work on it.
Since this is a pay-for-deliverables project, you will
bid a fixed price to complete the entire job.
If you win and complete the work according to contract,
you will be paid completely at the end (or partially as each of your optional
milestones arrive).
vWorker.com
guarantees payment to all workers who
meet their contracts.
Brief summary:
- vWorker.com reminder: You MAY NOT post the final solution for this (and any) project before your bid is accepted and funds are fully escrowed. Anyone who does may have their account permanently suspended. However, you CAN post:
- On programming projects: A prototype or functional demo...as long as source code is not provided.
- On graphics projects: A watermarked and low-resolution version of the work.
Hi,
I'm looking for a skilled PHP and Javascipt Programmer who knows Smartypretty well, my cart is written in PHP with smarty.
I have all the custom coding on my current store which has an olderversion of the cart in there. I know what files and location of thecustom coding for the most part in both old and new version of the cart.
There are 7 parts for this project:
1. Price language changing, There are some languages that needschanging, such as in the tier pricing needs to show the actual price, catalog pages needs to show the lowest price instead of the highestprice, show "as low as" and "unit as low as", products with sets needto have "set of", the catalog pages needs to show the lowest pricinginstead of highest pricing.
2. Check box drop down for products with personalized tag such as here:
http://www.e-weddingfavors.com/products/Lucky_Elephant_Antique_Ivory_Finish_Tea_ Light_Holder-6609-13.html
3. Navigation needs to be reformated from:
www.e-weddingfavors.com to
www.magicalweddingfavors.com
4. Session Saving - Right now the new cart is only saving someone'scart and info for only few hours, I need the session to be saved for atleast a few days.
5. Continue Shopping - on the cart page, continue shopping just goes tothe homepage, I need the button to go to the previous category page
6 Search algorithm - I had someone built a custom search algorithm inmy store, I need to transfer that over to the new cart.
7. 301 Mod Rewrite - the new URL structure is different.
I need someone who's familiar with mod rewrite to write the custom 301redirects for me.
Old URL: http://www.olddomain.com/products/abc123-34-1.html
New URL: http://www.olddomain.com/category-name/abc123.html
Need 301 all pages from the old cart to the new cart, matching eachcategory page and products page, text page and such.
I have the custom coding for all 1-6 for the old cart for reference.
I need someone to do #7 based on the structure of the URL.
Thanks
Requirements Interview Answers:
To help you bid more accurately, the employer was interviewed about the requirements for this project. Below are their answers.

Worker: On pay-for-deliverable
projects, all deliverables must be
uploaded to
vWorker.com before the
deadline(s)…with no exceptions. If
this contract makes it impossible
to do this (for example if it is
for a service that cannot be
uploaded), then do not start
this project. Otherwise, you
may find
yourself unprotected by the
payment guarantee.
Instead, ask the employer
to switch this project to
pay-for-time, so you are
guaranteed payment. If the
employer will not switch this, then
please alert us.
Example of unprotected/un-guaranteed work:
Imagine that this project is to
install something on the employers
website.
You do the work but upload nothing
to vWorker.com (because it takes too
long,
or you cannot). As long as there is
no dispute, you will not notice the
potential problem. But if the
employer disputes what you did then
we must make sure you delivered to the
triple-point-guarantee (100% to-contract: and
done in the industry exepcted manner, and
by the deadline). If the employer
does not allow us access to their
website, or accidentally/deliberately
changes the work you did on their
website, when we go to test it, we
will see that it does not work.
Then you would have no proof that
you delivered the final deliverables,
lose the arbitration, the escrowed
funds and receive a poor rating
(which will say "testing showed
the final deliverables did not
work").
So for this reason,
you should have instead followed
the above instructions and
switched it to pay-for-time.
Had you done this, we would simply
have checked the Accutimcard to
make sure you punched-in the time
and were working on it. You would
have been paid for every hour
you worked.
- Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all outsourcing pay-for-deliverables projects < $500 (before the employer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the employer and worker agreements.
vWorker.com monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
