This is an outsourcing project. To apply, place your bid below and we'll notify you if the employer picks you to work on it. Since this is a pay-for-deliverables project, you will bid a fixed price to complete the entire job. If you win and complete the work according to contract, you will be paid completely at the end (or partially as each of your optional milestones arrive). vWorker.com guarantees payment to all workers who meet their contracts.

Brief summary:

• vWorker.com reminder: You MAY NOT post the final solution for this (and any) outsourcing project before your bid is accepted and funds are fully escrowed. Anyone who does may have their account permanently suspended. However, you CAN post:
  • On programming projects: A prototype or functional demo...as long as source code is not provided.
  • On graphics projects: A watermarked and low-resolution version of the work.

Many computer users have thousands of digital photos (aka pictures, images) and so, they need a tool like ACDSee or IrfanView or XnView, this is, a Photo/Picture/Image quick/rapid viewer/browser/explorer <=> Rather than manually click on each picture to launch a new instance of a viewer (what would be thousands of loads), this tools allow an extremely rapid, easy and comfortable viewing, sparing a lot of clicks, time consumed, CPU/RAM loads.

My project is not about photos, it is about eBooks/eArticles... I have thousands and thousands of PDF, CHM, DJVU, RGO, PDB files, and I need to see them rapidly (to delete the junk, and store the good ones). Well, I cannot imagine myself loading on Adobe Reader 10000 times, nor Microsoft hh.exe (Windows CHM Viewer) nor WinDjView (DJVU Viewer) nor RepliGo nor iSilo... Thus, I need something like ACDSee/IrfanView/XnView but for PDF, CHM, DJVU, RGO, PDB; rather than photos (such as JPG, GIF, TIFF, BMP)...

My idea is NOT to build an app "from zero"/"from scratch"; my idea is to build an easy/simple app which acts as a "front-end"/"wrapper" to launch automatically instances of already-built viewers. So, I attach the portable versions of the viewers:

*) Foxit PDF Reader(as PDF viewer)
*) WinDjView (as DJVU viewer)
*) xCHM (as CHM viewer)
*) RepliGo Viewer (as RGO viewer)
*) iSilo (as PDB viewer)

The app would have a main window with a lateral/side bar with files' list and a main rectangular area, the viewing zone, which would run an embedded instance of the respective .EXE viewer app. It is also very important to have a way to configure the paths of each .EXE viewer and their association with each extension.

• Worker: On pay-for-deliverable projects, all deliverables must be uploaded to vWorker.com before the deadline(s)…with no exceptions. If this contract makes it impossible to do this (for example if it is for a service that cannot be uploaded), then do not start this project. Otherwise, you may find yourself unprotected by the payment guarantee. Instead, ask the employer to switch this project to pay-for-time, so you are guaranteed payment.   Example of unprotected/un-guaranteed work:
  Imagine that this project is to install something on the employers website. You do the work but upload nothing to vWorker.com (because it takes too long, or you cannot). As long as there is no dispute, you will not notice the potential problem. But if the employer disputes what you did then we must make sure you delivered to the triple-point-guarantee (100% to-contract: and done in the industry exepcted manner, and by the deadline). If the employer does not allow us access to their website, or accidentally/deliberately changes the work you did on their website, when we go to test it, we will see that it does not work. Then you would have no proof that you delivered the final deliverables, lose the arbitration, the escrowed funds and receive a poor rating (which will say "testing showed the final deliverables did not work").
  
  So for this reason, you should have instead followed the above instructions and switched it to pay-for-time. Had you done this, we would simply have checked the Accutimcard to make sure you punched-in the time and were working on it. You would have been paid for every hour you worked.
