Update for Indian coders using PayPal: As you know, PayPal recently blocked payments to India, including the
ones we sent. Our PayPal rep found a workaround that allowed us to resend them on the the 5th, and unlike previous attempts, these payments have not yet been returned to us (and we believe it worked). However we have never received a coherent answer from PayPal as to why they blocked any of the payments to start with, so this workaround may or may not work next month. If you wish to avoid the uncertainty and switch to Payoneer, they are offering a special to Indian workers. If you tell them you are from Rent a Coder and signup before February 28th, they will waive the typical $9.95 activation fee and expedite shipping for free (which will give you the card in hand in 7-10 days of approval). Rent A Coder reminder: You MAY NOT post the final solution for this (and any) project before your bid is accepted and funds are fully escrowed. Anyone who does may have their account permanently suspended. However, you CAN post:

On programming projects: A prototype or functional demo...as long as source code is not provided.
On graphics projects: A watermarked and low-resolution version of the work.

RAC Writing Addendums:

All English writing-related deliverables MUST be of grammatical, structural and logical quality commensurate with written English in a professional journal (unless otherwise stated by the Buyer). If you are a non-native English speaker you are HIGHLY CAUTIONED against bidding if you are less than 100% certain that you can provide this level of deliverables.
- However, if the Buyer accepts your bid based on a sample of your work that falls beneath (or above) this level, then they are indicating that quality of your sample is the acceptable level of quality in this contract.
In general, all deliverables MUST be completely your own original work and may not be taken (in whole or in part) from any work that you do not have full copyrights to (unless otherwise stated by the Buyer).
- If the buyer agrees to allow you to quote material from other sources, you must surround that material with quotes and cite the source with enough detail so it can be verified.
- The buyer may agree to allow you to paraphrase material from other sources. This is legal when the work is considered "Fair Use" (which generally means it will NOT be used commercially and ONLY for educational purposes). When this is the case, you must follow generally accepted standards for paraphrasing. Merely rearranging words and phrases from another source is considered plagiarism and is illegal. To correctly paraphrase, you should read the original and then close the book/source so you cannot see it and then write the entire material from scratch using your own words. On the other hand, if you may know or suspect the work may not be "Fair Use", please inform or consult with Rent a Coder.
If you infringe any copyright you will forfeit all escrowed funds under the terms of ""fraud"" in your contract and may have your account suspended. DO NOT BID ON THIS PROJECT, unless you fully understand United States copyright law and it's ramifications to you.

Hello, We are looking for native speaking persons who can make a small translation from English for us. These translations will be used on a website, so knowing the commonly used words on the native language's websites menus, etc. is a plus. Native languages are needed in any of the following (English to the following): Spanish, Italian, Netherlands, Suomi, Japanese, Russian, Magyar, German, French, Portuguese, Svenska, Chinese (both Simp., and Trad.), Korean, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Greek The current language files are roughly 1500-3000 words long (when combined). For example for Spanish the new translations need to be appended to that file in a format that will be provided later (such as surrounding the translated spanish text with <sp>SPANISH TEXT</sp> tags, etc)... As a deliverable, you will need to update the current .lang file using the same encoding (!!!) with the new translated items translated. Please provide following when bidding: - price - time - native language spoken If you provide a good job, then you will be added to our list of translators. For every new translation we first contact our existing translators prior to posting it to the wide list of coders available at RAC. Deliverables:

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

All deliverables must be uploaded to Rent A Coder before the deadline(s) for this project...with no exceptions. If this contract makes it impossible for a competent person to do this, then do not start this project...but instead alert Rent A Coder of an un-arbitratable, illegal project.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements. Rent A Coder monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
