We need an experienced PHP/MySQL developer familiar with Concrete 5 CMS, for customizing a non-profit organization's website. Here are links to concrete 5 CMS site:
http://www.concrete5.org/
http://www.concrete5.org/developers/
We have an existing custom PHP/MySQL non-profit site (easwaran.org), the content and functionality of which needs to be migrated to Concrete 5. We believe a reasonably good developer can get the job done in 1-2 months working part-time (nights/week-ends). Most of the manual page content migration will be done by us. We will also be involved in testing etc.
You must be familiar with enough HTML/CSS to be able to use some free templates out there or use a custom Concrete5 compatible template our web designer provides, for creating an attractive/elegant website. During this first phase we will install C5 and migrate existing content/functionality as is from the current site to the new C5 based site.
Experience we are looking for:
1) Concrete 5 setup/configuration including setting up users and groups with custom permissions in custom areas (set of web pages)
2) Use a custom (provided) template for the website, to configure various page types (each page type is simply a format - 2 column, 3 column etc.)
3) Configure free/commercial concrete 5 blocks and use C5 API to develop reasonably simple custom blocks (easy to medium - NOT complex)
4) Configure a few simple custom forms (contact us, books, retreats, satsangs etc.) and write scripts to copy data from 3-4 of our custom MySQL tables to concrete5 tables (or suggest manual data migration route)
5) Configure/integrate existing eCommerce functionality using Concrete 5 framework
6) Be creative/experienced to analyze any custom (usually simple) functionality in easwaran.org (Thought for the day http://www.easwaran.org/page/141) and be able to migrate it to concrete 5 based website
Our budget is $1000 or less. If we like your work we may hire you for the second phase of the project. <!-- begin content -->
