Update for Indian coders using PayPal: As you know, PayPal recently blocked payments to India, including the ones we sent. Our PayPal rep found a workaround that allowed us to resend them on the the 5th, and unlike previous attempts, these payments have not yet been returned to us (and we believe it worked). However we have never received a coherent answer from PayPal as to why they blocked any of the payments to start with, so this workaround may or may not work next month. If you wish to avoid the uncertainty and switch to Payoneer, they are offering a special to Indian workers. If you tell them you are from Rent a Coder and signup before February 28th, they will waive the typical $9.95 activation fee and expedite shipping for free (which will give you the card in hand in 7-10 days of approval). Click here for questions or to signup. |

Brief Summary:
I am looking to use nginx in my company and I would like to help the project by adding additional functionality. I think that it can currently support talking to Active Directory using LDAP or pam_smb, but it does not implement it in a way that allows for seamless SSO (single sign-on)
I believe there is enough documentation and examples to go off of out there.
Requirements Interview Answers:
To help you bid more accurately, the buyer was interviewed about the requirements for this project. Below are their answers.
Untitled Page
Other Requirements:
What is required:
1) Needs to talk SPNEGO on the backend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPNEGO)
a) should have standard timeout behavior (I don't know if this is handled automatically or not, but I'd want it to match standard behavior) - as in caching credentials/tickets so every request is not being passed to the authentication mechanism
b) authenticates against Active Directory (ideally OpenLDAP and A/D)
2) Browser support - needs to be promptless Windows Integrated Behavior behavior
a) required: IE6, IE7, Firefox 2.X ??
b) nice to have: anything else that supports it by default
3) Provides REMOTE_USER for SAPI level consumption
4) Works with nginx 0.7.x (latest builds)
a) need to provide the configuration items (if there's any?) that the webserver would define (auth servers to run against maybe?)
b) Config must scale to multiple backend servers (example: ADserver1, ADserver2, etc.)
5) Should be simple to compile on standard platforms
a) required: Ubuntu, RHEL, running 2.6. kernels and GCC
b) nice to have: BSD, other nginx-capable platforms
6) License should match nginx. Plan is for it to be created and given back to the community for usage, updates, etc. You will be credited for work (in name) and the work will be released in full to the public.
nginx is available at: http://nginx.net

Here are links/resources, that may aid in implementing SPNEGO.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
Rent A Coder monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
